TOMMY – GUITAR/VOCALS
Tom Vendittelli is Man Down’s resident axe-slinger and backup vocalist. A founding member, Tom has been playing guitar for 11 years, and is a classically trained, college-educated musician. His guitar style sprouted up out of the rock of Led Zeppelin, the jive n’ wail of Brian Setzer, the blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and – yes – even the jazz of Joe Pass (he has even jammed with jazz guitar legend Pat Metheny). A former guitar instructor, Tom’s day gig is now in Manhattan, where he works as a Broadcast Business Affairs Manager – “making sure commercials are street legal”. His favorite Man Down shows are the “special events” – Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve Eve, St Patrick’s Day, etc. His sandwich of choice is one comprised of “bloody roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish sauce, on crusty Italian bread”.
